With roots in Southern California and El Paso, Texas, Larry’s two environments shaped his 80’s childhood with a steady diet of punk rock, rap and skateboarding.
Eventually, snowboarding took precedence, and from his early days as a sponsored rider during the 1990s, he moved on to coach at Windells Camp on Mt. Hood, Oregon and became a contributing editor for Transworld Media in 1999. He has since been published in Transworld Snowboarding, Transworld Skateboarding, Transworld Surf, Transworld Business, Snowboarder Magazine, OnBoard Global Snowboarding, Rides Magazine and served as the editor of SNOWBOARD Magazine until July 2009. As a founding member of SNOWBOARD in 2004, Larry began as the online editor and quickly rose up the ranks to develop the unique content and direction of the magazine.
Profiling some of today’s most influential personalities, his innovative ideas and keen sense of style have brought trendsetting subject matter to the forefront of the industry time and time again. He currently serves as the online editor for Vans Snow and a special project manager for the renowned Frank151 Media Group.
Larry also performs in film and television as a stuntman— appearing in productions such as Brooklyn Rules, "White Collar", "Black Jack", "Damages" and the HBO series, “Bored to Death”.
